I was applying the Harley leather conditioner to the bags on my new Heritage and was wondering what the seat was made of. It appears that the sides were leather? and the top was vinyl? I did a search and could find nothing specific.

I am pretty sure Ur correct the side of the front seat being real leather,, I know the top sitting area is vinyl on the driver, rear and sissy bar pad.

I don't Use the (heavy yellow Petroleum paste like) HD leather treatment on any of the seats at all, but I use it Yearly on the bags..

Most leather care products I Use on the seating areas I get from a bottle from auto stores that is good for leather and vinyl.

I don't like the stuff that makes them slick either. Usually the cleaner/conditioner works for me on the seats.

Sides/skirt is definately leather (at least it is on mine) looking at it closely I'm pretty sure your correct about the rest of the seat being vinyl.
