Default Cleanup after oil change

I am curious what people use to clean up the freaking oil from the oil filter. I for one use starting fluid as it will not strip the wrinkle black paint and does not hurt chrome. I have read some people use brake cleaner, but my experience is it strips paint.

Thanks, Chris.

I wash the bike afterwards.

I don't wash my bike a whole lot but that would be one time that I do.

Default Tinfoil

I tuck a sheet of tinfoil up under the filter before I pull it and channel it down to a catch pan..keeps the oil off the bike. Working on devising something a little more sturdy, maybe molding a trough with an old milk jug and the heat gun.
