Default Need new rotors, have Ride Wright Twista spoke wheels

My back rotor got scored and my front rotor is warped. They are not floating rotors - they are Ride Wright Klassic 1-Piece Rotors.

Don't know why the front one warped but I don't think I want to buy two of the same again.

Any recommendations?

Here's my wheel:

A 2 piece rotor would be a lot less likely to warp although we don't hear much about 1 piece warping with stock or Pm calipers. You can always attempt to get the rotors that you have now tweaked back into spec .008" When you say the rear rotor is scored, how bad is it? Post a pic so we can see what it looks like. What kind of calipers and pads are you running.

I only have one pic and it's really tough to see the scoring. If you run your finger over the back of the rotor you feel it very much.

I have my stock brake pads. Switched the calipers from stock to HD chrome this Spring, which was the start of the problems.

I figure I should just start fresh with 2 new rotors.

Front pulsing didn't start until around then too. Have no idea why, maybe the guy screwed up my front caliper installation too (he screwed up the back).

Here's the pic:

Doesn't look like the pad is in the caliper correctly.

Yes it wasn't; that's how it got scored. Guy messed up the installation of the pads after putting the chrome caliper on.

I got the stainless polished and they look pretty good. With Lyndall pads they work very well. Better than the stock ones anyways. $200 for a set.

I would highly recommend the Lyndall pads with a polished rotor. The stock pads are going to eat up and discolor polished rotors as well create a ton of brake dust. The Lyndalls are relatively inexpensive and do a pretty good job of reducing dust. HogPro may still be offering a good deal on them.

Thanks Dean, yeah we have them for 2 sets for $80 shipped in the ConUS. Not sure what we have in stock for saftals but if you need help Pm or call us. The organic compound is much less abrasive than stock pads will ever be. They also last longer than stock pads.

after changing the wheels around so many times it could have warped the rotor in the ft. the lyndell pads are great I got 15k on the rears and would have gotton more if one of the pins didn't rust and stick.
