Just letting everyone know I installed my mini's today and only replaced the peg to the mini's. Didn't have to use the brackets and they look nice. My 2010 did have the factory pegs when I bought it.

Did you install the mini's up front or in the rear?

I found that you can install them without the kit - HOWEVER - once you have someone ride on them, they loosen up rather quickly.

The kit just keeps them from rotating. The stantion is keyed so that it won't rotate like the stock one. On a round peg, this isn't really a problem, but on the mini-floor boards, after a few miles, when someone is getting on/off, they tend to rotate after a while - this is what the kit keeps from happening.

I saw these installed on an 2011 at the dealer and they didn't have these brackets either? Anyone know if these are necessary on the Heritage? There is some sort of a bracket behind the peg support that has to do with the bags, maybe I don't need these?
I saw the same thing at a dealer. If nobody ever uses them - they won't rotate. It's because they are mini-floorboards. Once you put weight on them - they can (and will) start to rotate.

The kit simply is keyed (that peg stantion) so it won't rotate no matter HOW much force you put on it. Thats all it does.

Thinking of getting theses also. Could you please show a pic of the chrome ones folded up on your softail? Are they solid chrome like the regular size passenger floorboards?

So I gotta revive this. Just got black mini boards for the rear. Never seen the note for this til they were in my hand. So question . What about the saddle bag bracket? Does it fit with the kit or do I also need to buy something else? I may just tac the factory support into place. Any info would be great. Thanks

Do you mean the saddlebag relocation bracket ? I was under the impression that when footboards are installed, you need a saddlebag relocation kit. The instructions for the footboards should specify this. With that relocation bracket, you may require a longer bolt.

Unless something has changed, the footboard bracket fits on the outer portion of the frame. The saddlebag relocation bracket fits behind the frame. Here is a picture I have the shows how the footboard bracket, saddlebag bracket and saddlebag guard are installed.
