Well if your a track guy, then you know all our mods performance or otherwise derive from perormance track bikes, be it strip or drag. Handling, be definition is a bikes ability to manuever. You could run some schwin tires and be great going straight down the road, and a good 5.5" rim with a good sidewall and 180 to 200 mm or tread handles better than some flat 130. That's simple geometry, the bike leans, the tire still aplies a solid patern to the pavement.

I ran Metzler 1 rain tires in sun, ad rain...

Metzler was my tire of choice, hands down.

Again, we are not talking track. You'll scrape out long before you use that 200mm on an HD unless you have some serious long shocks.

However, that defeats the purpose of an HD in my mind.

I would just go back to my CBR RR.

Just writin', I actually like how HD is getting away from larger back tires by going old school. That's all. I'm not tellin' anyone what to do by no means.

Wider tires cost too much to replace. For a daily rider, it gets expensive. Price a 130 next to a 180 or 200.

I think if I expose the skinny tire more by chopping the fender it will look kick a$$. I think what I'II do is option a first and see how it looks. If it doesn't turn out how I think it will, I'II move on to option b.
Funny you should say that chopping the fender to fit the 144 jayzee. We were looking at a BL yesterday ans saying the same thing.I think HD is going to offer a wide tire kit for the BL similar to the Deuce in a 180. I say that because The BL seems to have the wide tire swingarm all the 200 tire softy's have. The stock hub has a shitload of offset built into it.Looks like all you would need is a wider rim relaced and a set of wide tire frame horns and fender.By doing it that way seat options galore are available

I'll swing the extra $22 for the 200 over the 150, doesnt seem like that much to me every 3 years.

So if I run a 130 my pipes and pegs won't scrape? I realise harley's cant handle as well as sport bikes, but 180 handles better than 130. No question.

Another tip Bred if you end up going wider wheel and tire stay away from 16". Brake calipers are a real pain in the *** to fit inside the rim. A 2 piece caliper and bracket like HHI's set up is a needed. Not saying a single piece won't work but be prepared to do some grinding on the caliper.I think a 160 will go in the place of the 144 also.Got a guy at work that is getting ready to do it.I'll let you know how it goes.
Dunlop's suck. JMHO

Don't show this pic to Harley, this isn't how they came from the factory and I dont want them knowing that we riders change our bikes from how they come stock.

Werd, cause then they'll rape for after market parts...

What's the bike, and what size tire did you mod up there?
