Default Getting an itch for a VROD

I've got a Heritage Classic and I love it, but lately I have been getting an itch for a VROD. I think they are a cool looking bike,(something different).
My fear is making a deal and regretting the move. Anybody been there done that with a VROD?

Are you looking to cruise or race around? If you go on a lot of longer rides I'd stick with what you have.

Done it. Went from a dyna to a new Muscle. Loved the bike and so much fun. One year later I'm on a Deluxe. You do the math.

I'd own one in a heartbeat as a second bike. They are just wicked-*** bikes and they sound a lot better than any ricer with the right pipes. Same goes for Buells. Love 'em! Of course, just about everything on 2 wheels turns my head...

Have been on the Muscle as well a few times, loved it and great for short runs but the long hauls would be an issue I fear...thus why I got the FB LO.

As an past owner of a Vrod got to say it's a beautiful bike , style spot on , performance all there , but have to say it's purely a single ride no pillion .... and when your sittin at those lights and a Fatboy, Streetglide, or Heritage, pull's to a stop next to you something i dont what it is inside says to you look at them bikes DAMN there cool ..... Believe me i know it's a Harley and i loved mine but take off the belt take out the gears stick a rocket engine on it and give it to Buck Rogers ........ So in short stick with the Heritage ... or save up and get one if you want a Vrod as a hooligan bike because when you ride one you give it large or what's the point in buying one " not to poop poop down the road like Miss Daisy"

I had one for a couple of months.........just to say I had one. The problem was I had a 2003 with the 3.5 gallon tank, combined with lousy ergonomics, didn't make for an enjoyable ride for me. The bike just didn't work at all for the riding that I do. I'll always be a Full Dresser guy! However, I bought it right and made a few bucks on the deal.

When I bought my Night Train the decision was between the Softail and a Vrod. I picked the Night Train simply because there was greater aftermarket support for parts, and most important, my wife hated the rear seating comfort on the Vrod. Still, they are great bikes.....
