Default Hard Bags for a Softail Deluxe

I'm curious. I see I lot of guys putting road king Hard bags on a Softail Deluxe. So I have two questions

Do you like the looks of them on a Deluxe?

Is there interest for Hard bags made for a Deluxe?

Looking for your thoughts.

Hog,

I just installed a set of RK Classic bags I picked up on ebay using cycle visions baggertail on my 2009 Deluxe. I absolutely love the look of the leather bags over the painted. And the install was a breeze.

I'll try and post pics when I get home tonight, although I'm not sure I know how.

I have been kind of looking at bag to use on the Lux but can't find anything I really like. They either look to wide or too short. I would like to so some that compement the rear fender.

I would be interested in hard bags that could also be quick connect without huge brackets on them if I wanted them off

See this has been my thoughts as well I think hard back should follow the flow on the rear fender and the bike.

So tell me what you like in the way of shape and size, yada yada yada
You know what I mean right?

I agree about a hard bag that complements the fender. I also agree with the quick disconnect feature as I only want the bags on longer rides. I've been searching high and low for a retro style hard bag that looks good on the Deluxe with real storage capacity and quick disconnect that lock and aren't spaced too far from the fender. Currently they just don't exist. It seems that many people are fond of the Cycle Visions products for making other bags work, but they are spaced too far from the fender for me and they arent a quick disconnect for the larger bags.

I just got a set of bags to make due with, but I'll be the first in line for bags that offer all of the features above.
