Why not? You'll get a little mini chopper look and slower handling.

Default tips on fork setup

PVC spacers is all it takes. I am running four inch tubes.

I experienced "clunking" over big bumps before and after the tubes went on. I experimented with lighter oil weight in the forks to better follow the bumps and finally got rid of the clunk entirely by adding oil until the forks stopped hitting metal to metal. Adding oil decreased the amount of air left in the forks which let them run full travel but no more bottoming out.

I used the dipstick from my car to make sure both forks had the same amount of oil (with springs out).

Oh and by the way I added three degree cups to rake the neck. The bike tracks like a heavy bomber at 75-80 with no shakes or wobble anymore. Plus it is a small enough change that it feels more stable in the corners too. Guys say raking makes cornering too stiff but that is NOT my experience with only a four over front end and three degree cups.

My skinny Deuce tire (a Metzler 880 90/90) actually seems to prefer the longer wheelbase with the rake and forks extended. Go figure.
