Want to install my Rush 1.75 slip ons tonight.
Does anyone know what size the bolts are to remove my factory mufflers?
I want to remove the stock mufflers and install the Rush slip ons.
Can I just use an Autozone torque wrench.
How about red or blue lock tight?

Can I just use a regular american socket set or do I need a torque wrench? Could I just make it snug or should I invest in the special wrench?

U should also get new mufflers clamps, they stretch when U tighten them up..
so re-using the old ones probably will not get U a good seal and U'll have air leaks.
Thing the Rush tech in here said just last week to get new mufflers clamps and tq to 65#'s
.

Yeah, put on new muffler clamps, your dealer has them. I use a HF torque wrench and it works just fine...mine are torqued to 65. I did not use locktite on anything.

Your bike is brand new. Personally I wouldn't and didn't use new clamps on mine. Clamp bolt is sae 9/16.
Don't need a precision torque wrench for these bolts. You're not going to break them off. Set your Autozone to 65ft lbs and you'll be fine.
If you have bags on your Deluxe, the bracket can be a real pita to attach. Least they were on my wife's bike.
Don't tighten the heat shield clamps too tight or you'll strip them out. Just snug them up. If you get a rattle while riding, snug them a bit more.

Follow the included instructions provided by Rush. And torque clamps to spec.

No locktite for the muffler clamps (another vote for new), but get some HT silicone (i.e. liquid copper) from AutoZone & run a bead around the inner edge of new mufflers before slipping over header pipes - creates tight seal & prevents annoying air leaks. Enjoy!
