Don't be in a hurry to lower it, especially if you are a big guy or might be doing some 2up. I'm 6'3"/245lbs and it does not need to be any lower once I put my load on it.

Put a 90/90 metzler on the front next tire change, stock seat and sissy bar with lugage rack, and relocate the front blinkers to the forks and you are done-(maybe take the reflectors off)....I like em fairly stock..

Enjoy

Ds
Oh yea, I forgot... thats one of the first things I am doing is taking the front reflectors off. The back ones were already removed apparently. The next thing is to relocate the turn signals but I can't seem to find many post that even talk about how to do it...it can't be that hard.

I will probably leave the seat just in case I do any 2 up but I won't be doing much at all. I may still lower it because I do like the way they look lowered.

I am at 4600 miles and I don't think its gonna last that much longer. I don't even want to know what its gonna cost for the tire and to get it done.

The newest best tire for the 200mm is the Michilin Commander II. I got 4800 on it now and got a little more than 1/8 tread left. Been great in the rain too! I think I paid 140.00 ish and 30$ for install.

I have 5400 on my 07 and there is hardly any noticeable wear on the rear tire.

But then I'm 71 and go the speed limit which in Illinois local roads is 55. Yeah, I know - boring.

Few threads around. Here's mine and a video:
