2004 Heritage Classic basket case. Just put it back together and took a ride. When i use the either left or right blinker both arrows on the tanks console flash a few times. both blinkers work fine though. any ideas?

 

Ground not making contact?

 

I'm with madsin, ground bad or hot side of indicators are tied together, did you look under dash panel and see if anybody was playing doctor?
