Was running 18" carlini gansters on my train for a while. they were 1.25" and I was a fan of the look.

...just as long as the apes are the same width as the front fork legs, it will look good! Just my .02

The narrow apes look more at home on a mid glide Dyna or a Sportster. The regular apes are more in line with the wider Softail and WideGlide, FatBob forks. I have used HCCC in the past for a complete package. They can't be beat.

You regret most of the advice here. On your bike you need to measure the width of the tubes on the outsides. Then find a set of bars that fit just inside that width. A bud just put a set of 14's on his fxstc and they look like $hit. They are about an 1 inch and half too wide on each side at the base and look hideous. needless to say he's now spending another 300.

Stop making decisions from so-called opinions. take out a tape measure and measure your tubes width. Then find a set of bars that are equal to or just inside that width. Some bars are way wide on the bottom so you need to know exactly what you want.

Went with the Todd's cycle 10" strippers on mine, match up with the tubes perfectly. IMHO, that's the key to apes looking like they belong.
