Default roland sands tail light wiring problem

Hey guys, me and buddy are having and issue with wiring. buddies bike is a 2011 crossbones, and he changed the rear fender, and put on a roland sands sidemount licence plate with integrated tail light. at this point there is no signal lights, just the tail light, we wired it up, and the tail light comes on but when you hit the brake it gets brighter, but when you release the brake the light goes out all together for a second and then the tail light will come back one. was wondering if anyone has had this issue and know how to fix it. Thanks!

It sounds like it you might have a loose wire. Trace it back to the source and double check all your connections. Are you sure this light has intergrated turn signals?

That's normal operation per Roland Sands. I put one of his lights on a bike and it did the same thing. Somewhere in the directions, I remember it stating that this was normal operation.
