Not sure on your bike, but wanted to give you a quick headsup! Be careful if you don't know where it is and don't have a manual. Some of the OTHER oil plugs under the engine, which are NOT the regular drain plugs are tapered and you can damage your case if they are tightened incorrectly(been done by folks on here, very expensive...) On my rocker, the oil drain for changes is located under the bike on the side that the oil filler neck is on and it is connected to the bottom of the oil tank with a hose. If your not sure, wait and get it right. Dirty oil is better than a cracked case! Also, a headsup on changing your oil filter. There is a sending unit in the motor with the end sticking out near the near the oil filter on the 96 inch engines. Be careful when removing the oil filter, the filter wrench can damage the sensor if your not careful and according to some folks on here that it has happened to, the engine needs to be pulled to change it...OUCH! Ride safe.

Very informative.

I (we) have several bikes and it seems that all of them have different drain points with some drain plugs using "o" ring and others using teflon "plumbers"tape and some using nothing before re-inserting the plug(s).

Last fall when I changed the oil in the '99 Heritage I got tire of looking for the tranny drain and put it away for the winter.
Yesterday, I got the bike out and I then remembered where the drain was and went about removing the front muffler to access it!

I do like the engine oil drains on the newer softails as it elimiates the "plug" in the rubber hose system.

Another heads up. I don't know much about your style of bike or the year but if your bikes do not have them, I would buy these and put them on in place of the stock ones. They are magnetic plugs. They pick up a great deal of metal shavings between oil changes. Clean them thoroughly, removing all the metal shavings before putting them back in when doing future oil changes.
