Looking to relocate my plate to the side of my 2012 Fatboy Lo to clean up the rear fender! Whats the best kit at a good price for that? I was going to go with the Lorida plate but i still dont think that will give me the look im looking for! So i want to mount it on the side of the bike instead..

Road6 customs makes quality affordable mounts. They have a few different styles too. I know a few guys running them and they have no complaints at all.

+1. Have one of the Road 6. Quality product and easy to install.

So what are you going to do where the old plate was removed from?

Do you guys have plate lights on yours? If so, how are you running the wires?

I want to get one for my Deuce, but I don't want wires running everywhere.

Yes it has plate light. Have my wiring running along the swing arm.

It's all about how much you have to spend as to what you end up with.
I like alloy arts but they are pricey.

I have one from Jireh cycles with the plate light. Not too expensive. It's worked great for 4 years...

Ran the wire up the swingarm and used tie wraps.

I bought a cheap one exactly the same as this from ebay:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/SIDE-MOUNT-L...#ht_2748wt_965

I put it on my dyna and removed my stock tail light and it was great. I ran it for two years before selling the dyna and there was no chrome peeling or anything. Very happy with it, especially for the price.

Looked at a bunch for my Lo and finally found what I wanted in the HD Slim License Plate. Lucked out and found a take-off and was able to put it on my bike at a low price.

This pic is before I put the coin in the holder I used to cover the holes in the fender.

Here is the holder with the coin in place.

Hope that this helps
