Time for a new rear tire
So, my 07 Deluxe back tire is getting pretty bald, and the price from my local HD is scary high. So, I ordered one online from Montreal, 70 bucks cheaper.
Now, I'm wondering about install. Should I pay the higher price and go to my local HD dealership for peace of mind?, or put my trust in a local indy that I don't know.

I bite the bullet and buy my tires from my indy guy who installs them. I bought online and had a problem w/tire being bad. Online tire bought-paid for install -tire bad-not shops problem -paid for removal- and another tire/indy bought- returned tire-$$ return shipping- online supplier motherfather scumbags blamed bad install- my guy has done 20+ tires for me /NEVER a problem.
Did I save w/online tire? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PS IMHO Lots of online tire deals are OLD tires - friend [would't listen to me] recieved a tire from supplier over 6 yrs old.

Tire prices up here are real scarry high. Dealer wanted over 400$$$$ plus taxes to install a dunlop on the rear on my heritage. I then got tires from Rocky mountain ATV in the states, through recommendations from this forum. I paid 330 for 2 Avon Venoms Whitewalls and took them to the local indy to install. The only thing he said is that the Avons are a heavy tire and might need excessive balancing weights on it. He also said that he could prolly almost match what I paid for the tires so next time I'll ask him first before I do order tires for another source cause they don't like to install other then their own tires onto a bike.
This forum has plenty of threads to keep you busy about which tires to buy and from where so you don't get burn't with old or substandard tires.
