Default balance tire

I just put a new front rim and tire on my bike, i mounted the tire myself, i put the red dot by the valve. I didnt put the dyna beads in because i wanted to see if they did anything so on my before ride the tire seems perfectly balanced, no vibrations at all. Have you guys had any tires that have not needed any balancing? I checked my stock rim and tire and there were not any weights on that rim either.

It's a good idea to do it from new as the tire wears it will start getting chopped, I'm sold on Dyna beads they work. Some when new will run good going down the road. once it starts to wear wrong it will wear like that thru the life of the tire, most of the time

Don't mean to steal your thread mars636, but those Dyna beads really work? I have a Revolver rear wheel the stick on weights came off of at 80mph last summer. Didn't feel any different so I haven't bothered to re-balance it. There's no other way to get a weight on it as far as I can tell. Haven't run across a bike tire that doesn't need balancing. The stick-ons are ugly besides.

Yup, the dyna beads really work .. Since I started using them I am also getting about a 1,000 miles more out of my rear tire! And best of all no unsightly weights on the rim.

I've been using Dyna Beads for the past couple years. Good Stuff!!! Recently purchased another product "Ride On" that both balances the tire and seals punctures. Haven't tried it yet but I'm Hopeful.

That is some interesting looking stuff...would be interesting to see what it is like when you run it for a while and then change tire...wonder if it will have bunch gunk in there like fix-a-flat.

I have run into a situation twice, where I mounted a new Metzler tire and left the old wheel weights on then checked it on a simple stand (put a rod through and see where the balance is at) and they needed no adjustments on weights at all and ran fine, BUT I think that is unusual. I just started using dyna beads and love them. That way you are sure your new skins will wear even...cheap insurance. I just put some in my new 260 on the rocker, way better than a bunch of weights on the outside.
