Got a Rocker seat dirt cheap on eBay and the position is way better than the 2up but now am getting pain in my hips. Feel like am working hard when changing gears and applying the brake. I am pretty short(5'6") 30" inseam. Do I need to move my controls to solve this? I would hate to go back to my 2up.
Yeah. I switched from a stock seat to a bucket. i was in an awkward position which left my hips hurting. the seat had me too close to my controls so my pain was from letting my legs rest outward away from the motor. Now that i have the bucket seat i am able to stretch properly. I am 5'11". No more hip pain.
I have "hip pain" period! Mine is from age and abuse of my body when I was younger though, changing my seat or anything else won't help. I was told by my bone doctor the only thing that will help me is the shots in the hips or a hip replacment surgery. I am not keen on either choice so I feel your pain Dude, litterally! Get floor boards? Will those work or fit? Its what came to mind first thing.
2x4 tied to bottom of boots. Haha jk bro im 5'7 with heartland which seats u a little further back i had the seat reshaped so my legs would be closer in making it easier to shift and brake. So, maybe get that seat reshaped to fit u. Just a thought.
If that doesn't work you can do boards I've got part numbers somewhere for the brackets only thing that can't be re used is the brake pedal. Keep us posted and good luck!
Got some miles in this weekend getting use to new seat. I went to HD to get some wider pegs and almost traded Rocker for a Street Glide. Had to use my sleep on it rule and not give in to impulse.
