Looking to buy a new Softail Slim what would be a good otd price?
Hi Guys, I recently sold my 2010 Iron to purchase a 2012 Softail Slim Denim Black with Abs. What would be a good other price for the bike is there anything I could get to sweeten the deal.
So far I was told 17,080 plus tax & reg this include the abs and security feature. I was looking to also get some V&H pipes install from the factory. I was told 15% off all accessory before delivery of bike.
Any ideas Thanks guys. btw, The bike has to be order.

Either visit or call dealers around your area for they best price.
It's what I did in 1986 and found the first dealer I visited beat the other 6 dealers I called in So Cal by $1500 to $3000.
Since you're looking for the best deal, you'd save even more ordering the pipes and installing them yourself.

I bought mine on Monday. Paid 15,499 for black denim and got them to throw in a HD leather illuminator 360 jacket (495 retail). Didn't get the alarm or the ABS. Basically I paid the base MSRP. I needed a jacket too so I figured I would give it a shot and they said yeah. With tax in WA is was about 17k OTD>

I have one for sale!!!
I bought my dream bike (2012 Softalil Slim) in March. I put Black V&H on it and blacked out the headers and a couple of other touches- windshield included.
I just lost my job, unfortunately, and have to sell it. Give me a call if you're interested- 507-272-1698 (It has less than 300 miles on it and was just DYNO'd so it won't need the expensive 1000 mile check up.

Kind of a difficult question to answer as your not always comparing like with like, you could get a 2012 or a 2013 model for quite different prices, time of year makes a big difference as dealers have targets, and they are not going to sell many bikes over xmas, so you could get a real good deal then, also the targets that dealers have, mean that they have to sell so many bikes in any given period, so they may pre register bikes to themselves, meaning that to the 'Moco' they've 'sold' them but they have them in the store, they normally go quite a bit cheaper, but officially you are the second owner, over here in the UK that might put some but not all people off.
If I was after a new bike I'd buy it Xmas or new years eve for a good deal, but failing that I would but it at the end of the month, as they get nervous towards the end of a month, that they might not have sold enough, and just when you've got a deal close to being made, tell em you want some instore credit to spend on parts.
