Harley Night Train Saddle Bag Advice Please Help!!
I have a 2008 Harley Night Train. I am doing some long rides this summer and I need some storage. I have searched a bit on the forum to find something but had no luck. I am looking for a reasonable throw over bag or detachable bags. Is there bags you can use without having to relocate the turn signals? Also if anybody has a night train with bags pictures would be great!! Thanks in advance

I had an aftermarket set of quick detach plates with Saddleman bags that I used to use and I didn't have to change the turn signals. I have since changes to a side bag and detachable sissy bar. I am not at home with all the details and photos but I can get that later. PM me if you are interested as I am willing to sell my setup that is just sitting in my garage now.

Any of our detachable bags will fit fine on your bike without moving the sigs. The 3200 series shown in my signature photo, or our larger 4000 series. At a starting price of $699 I know a lot of people think they are pricey, but you get what you pay for. The bags are made of heavy leather and are plasic reinforced throughout so they won't sag or lose their shape. They have locking lids and a mounting system that is very strong and doesn't rattle.
If you go with throw-overs, use some protective film on your fender or they will rub the paint off. Also use saddlebag supports and tie the bags to them to keep them from flapping in the wind and rubbing the finish off your belt guard, or at least find a way to anchor the yoke somehow, otherwise if you put more weight in one bag than the other, they will shift to the heavy side (and burn or melt on your pipes if that is the heavy side). If you decide to go with a detachable bracket, do your research, most of them rattle.
I learned most of these problems the hard way over the last 30 plus years of riding and that's how our company started, by solving them.

On my 09 night train I installed detachable saddle bags made by Leather Pros. Look for the softtail model-I have the 3200 series. These are high qualty bags & will not cave in due to the ABS inner liner. They have a lock inside the bags for locking to your bike & also can lock the outside flap.
