Default Tear Drop Toolbox for 2010 Deluxe

What up guys?
I just installed Samson 28.5" long tails on my 2010 Deluxe. It left a bare spot on the right side of the bike. HD's teardrop toolbox would cover the bare spot perfectly, but HD doesn't make one for a 2010 Softail Deluxe. I was hoping that one of you 2010 Deluxe owners would know what tool box will fit without modifications. If it cant be done without modifications, please let me know what box to buy and how to modify it.

Any help would be great,
Soup

It will fit, I have both on my 2010. Just get the one fits closest year to your bike.

The only reason they say it doesn't fit is because of the stock pipes

I'd love to have one on the left hand side of mine, but I think the Cholo's get in the way.

Sorrying to bring back an old thread, but I'm interested in putting a toolbox on my 2012 Deluxe.

Am I to understand that it will fit on the left side without any modifications? Just not on the right with the shotgun exhaust? I also recall that at one time the barrell lock could be keyed to operate with the same key as the bike...... is this true?

Thanks for any help offered......

With the stock exhaust:
The left side toolbox will fit, the right side toolbox won't

With any true dual crossover exhaust:
The right side toolbox will fit, the left side toolbox won't

Any locksmith can rekey the toolbox to match the ignition key

I didn't check the fitment in the 2013 P&A catalog, but, if your 2012 Deluxe is like my 2012 Heritage (which I believe it is), the toolbox will mount securely with only two of the three mounting bolts. The spacing of the two most forward rear fender rail bolts (above the oil tank) has changed and the MOCO did not make a bracket for it.

Here is the right side toolbox on my 2012 Heritage

Seeing you have moved your tag bracket from above the brake light, did you use the Softbrake mod or what did you use? Your bike looks great. Thanks

Thanks for the insight, Heritage is looking real nice!
