Default For those with 18" Gangster apes

For the guys running the 18"gangster apes with the extreme duty bushings.....do your bars still flex? I know there's no way all the flex will be gone but mine still seem a bit excessive. Or do I have to tq the crap out of the bolts?

The poly riser bushings help, but the best option is to get the 1.5" bars with the Carlini risers that have the built in set screws that hold everything in place. If you have excessive flex I would say maybe torque down the lower riser bolts a bit more under the triple tree. The taller the bars are, the more leverage therefore the more change of movement as well.

One option is to use solid bushings. No rubber=no flex.

That is another option but you will get more vibration in your bar ends as well. You will get more vibration with poly than you will with stock rubber bushings as well.

agree with everything mentioned above. It is the way to go. Poly riser bushings and the Carlini Risers.... Dont have much flex on my sled with this setup.

I have the High Roller risers with the set screws....i might try torque'n the bolts down tighter. Dont want solid bushings cuz I dont have a rubber mounted engine......
