Ever drag vance and hines big radius pipes?
Hey all, I'm considering getting the v&h big radius 2 into 2 pipes for my Deuce. I have it lowered 2" and the longshots I have on it now drag pretty seriously with my wife on the back and I am concerned with dragging enough on a sharp right hander causing the rear tire to lose traction.
Has anyone that has their bike lowered ever dragged the big radius pipes?
Thanks all.

Son had BR's 2-2's on his 07 Deuce, He had just come off CR's and I think he might have touched them once, but not sure. His was stock height. Urs being lowered might do it on a hard turn but U'll learn how much U can lean her. They are really good pipes and make good numbers on the dyno.
On his 09 NT that he lowered with BSL's he touched them several times at first, then he learned not to lean as much and solved the prob.
Good luck

I agree. My deuce is lowered 2" on the rear and about 3" on the front. The bottom tip on my BR pipes is completely gone and the kickstand is ground down. But once you get them filed down on the pavement they eventually stop hitting.

Thanks for the replies. For you guys that have ground them down some, when you dragged them did you ever feel the rear of the bike become unstable? I've hit hard parts on the ground plenty of times, but it was usually pegs in a hard turn. Dragging the longshots in a turn make me concerned that they could pivot the rear tire enough to lose contact with the road. I'm not sure if that is physically possible, and I don't want to test it, but since they stick out so far from the side of the bike because of the mounting bracket, and the fact that with me and my wife on it they only have about 3" of ground clearance, I'm worried that it may be possible. Since the big radius don't protrude below the bottom of the frame and terminate farther forward, I couldn't imagine dragging them enough to cause any handling issues?
