I just installed the RSD tag bracket side mount for my license plate and tail/brake light.

Curious if anyone has this or a similar set up because there are no lights to light up the license plate, just the tail light which I don't think will be bright enough for the state trooper looking to pull a bike over.


Any suggestions?

 

I thought their bracket had a light....you could always get either a lighted frame or some of the LED plate bolts....heartland also has a slick light that mounts in one of the belt guard spots....

 

I actually emailed RSD and they said the brake light was supposed to supply enough light for the license plate as well. As you can see from the pictures....not the case.

Anyways, thanks for recommendations. I looked at the Heartland light. Looks to be what I am looking for but, man their stuff is always so expensive.

 

I used an LED plate cover.

 

J+P cycle has a Little 2 light white LED strip for like 5.00. The Heartland 3 light strip lights up the left rear well but like you said they are proud of their stuff.
