Does this "buffeting" only happen when the windshield is on? Also we don't have to wear a helmet here so I am not really sure what you guys are talking about. My bike rides like a hot knife through butter, smooth as silk. I ride without a windshield though so is that what it is? I have 2 quick connect windshields but I have never even rode with them on yet, so can I expect this "buffeting" when I do put one of them on? Is it the bike or the helmet or both that is getting this "buffeting"?

Here's my experience with wind deflectors......

Used to have a Sportster and even going 55mph I felt like I was getting blown off the bike from the wind. I mounted a windshield, and it helped DRAMATICALLY. With the windshield on I still got buffeting coming from under the bike (tank) that was hitting me in the chest sort of upwards. I mounted some wind deflectors after that and it was amazing the difference it made. No buffeting at all.

A winshield makes a huge difference, but adding the wind deflectors in addition to the windshield was the icing on the cake.

My buffeting problem came from the air that hit my left leg and came up over top of my left knee. It came up under my helmet and into the left side of my face.

The Fangs direct enough air out around your legs and you dont get near as much air coming up over the knee and up your chest.

The chrome lwrs do send more air up.
The stk height shield works good, but I'm looking thru
it.

So, Long Ride Shields has been sending me emails with coupons.
The latest one was for 40 % off. So I took it.$89 to my door.

I ordered the 17" lite tint with the re-curve. I was going to go for 19"
but I was afraid the re-curve sould be too close to my line of sight.

If it shows this week, I'll be a happy camper.
They said it should ship within 48 hrs.
I plan on riding this coming week end.
Hopefully I'll have a report.

Thumbs up beard tamer

I used to have to keep my beard trimmed back because the air coming up over my legs blew right up under my chin and my beard would tickle my nose something fearse. The chrome lowers on the legs took care of the problem.
