Default milage

my buddy is looking at a bike with 50k miles I personally only buy new but is 50k miles anything to be worried about on a harley what should we look for act

I know there are bikes out there with many many miles on them but me personally?? There are way to many bikes out there waiting to be bought to have to pick one with 50K on it. I wouldn't touch it myself! Thats just me though. I also want to add that times are hard now, the economy is still in the tank, IMHO, it's a "buyers" market right now. Why pick a bike with 50K on it with so many bikes out there for sale right now. Tell him to be patiant and I will bet my bottom dollar a whole lot better of a deal with pop up and he will be glad he waited. If he jumps on this bike, chances are he will be sorry he did so on down the road.

A little more info would help. If the price is right and he can wrench then shouldnt be an issue.

Amen to that yeah thats what I told him I can't buy one with that many miles but I don't wrench much either

Best to steer clear. Plenty out there with low miles.
