WTF Noone seems to carry the DOT Biltwells anymore. I found a color I like...flat red primer. Even their website shows only novelty helmets.

Talked to Bitwell in regards to returning my El Fuerte. They are expecting to have it back for sale within 3-6 months. The Bitwell is my favourite helmet & I have 6 months before I can get out on the Rocker again, hoping the El Fuerte will be on the market by then.

If they still have your size in stock you can get a smoking deal on one.

I did find that...and of course, they don't have the size in the color I want.

Guess I'll have to wait til they bring em back. Hopefully they'll still make the "primer red".

+1 on the El Fuerte. Biltwell is only a couple miles from my house. I met the owner through a business contact and he told me the EF would be available in mid-September so I went over and bought one when they got em in. I got a recall letter last week but I like the helmet and am gonna keep it. I been wearin one of their non-dot 3/4 helmets for the past couple years and really like it too but I can tell it would not provide a lot of protection and I don't want to get hassled by the law for wearing a non DOT helmet.

I'm not only old school, hell I'm just old period. So I'd love to find a 3/4 that would fit my monstrous melon without looking ridiculous but it ain't happnin'. I have an old HJC 3/4 DOT in size 3X that I can barely get on but I swear when I do it looks like two white watermelons going down the road, one on top of the other. Even DOT 1/2 helmets look crazy huge when I can find one to fit.

So imagine my surprise when I go into the Harley joint last week and they have some new line of HD branded Hybrid DOT 1/2 helmets that aren't much if any bigger than a skid lid. And a 2X actually fit me and doesn't look stupid huge. I bought two of 'em on the spot.

Wind noise and hearing? Heck, I've about given up on that. Way too many years of loud rock n' roll, both real music and weapons plus loud pipes have cashed my hearing in. My wife keeps yelling at me about how loud my bikes are but I figure after a couple weeks with the new V&H Short Shots Staggered I just ordered and I won't be able to hear her anyway.
