I agree,

I used to look for performance gains but then I realized it was a never ending route and plus its a Harley Its bad enough spending the money we do on parts

I would think that any aftermarket system has got to be better than then the cat filled restrictive factory system....and if you're satisfied with the power of a stock harley then u have got nothing to wory about...get what u want....

I run a set with baffles and they are still loud. I also have a 98 kit and HQ575 cams with a dyno tune so performance is good. Could I get a few more ponies with a 2 into 1...sure but it wouldnt look as good (to me)

I like them with the original baffles in them and they are not objectionable, in fact they are almost quiet to me, while cruising along..
I could make them louder but pulling the baffles out or changing them, but in original trim they are are loud enough when I need/want them to be while still allowing me the option to putt putt down my block without annoying the 'nice' neighbors who wave as I go by.
Its a big fat Harley so its never going to go faster than any of the 600cc and up crotch rocket's.
So who cares, besides I'm too old for stupid street racing anyway.
They look and sound good and that's enough for me.

I have an 11' Blackline with V&H Big Radius (black) and baffles. I originally had rush slip-ons with 1.75" baffles on the original head pipes - decided it was too much chrome on the right so I changed to the BR. Both setups were stage 1 and Dyno tuned - the BR performance is stronger on the mid to top and about the same down low. I like the sound - more raspy than the rush setup and a little louder; but, by no means too loud. No regrets, I'd do the same again.

I've got them with the original baffles and thought they were loud but tolerable until I spent a few days on my little bro's softail with the short shots on them. His pipes seem louder to me when going do the highway. I've spent the last week or so on his bike (daily) and am looking forward to getting mine back. I am thinking about the BCT QQ Baffles to change the tone and quiet it a few DB. Really wanting to hear them somewhere first though.

I have them and love them. The only thing i dont like is that everyone has them. I am planning on adding Big City Thunder baffles b/c i dont think they are loud enough. I also powdercoated them gloss black to match my tins.
