Default Broke the tab off my jiffy stand

I lowered my 06' Night Train 2" in the rear and while riding 2 up last night, came around a corner and the bike dipped with the road and just came down on jiffy stand breaking off the tab used to put it down. Before I go buying a OEM replacement which I foresee having the same fate, is there a different stand people buy for lowered bikes.

Thanks for any info.
Joe

Also can anyone tell me if this is the correct OEM part # 50087-89B?

Man, what a fluke. I had mine lowered for years and never had that happen. Scraped a few things yes, but never had that tab hit. Was it a pot hole? IMHO I would get another one and not worry. BUT, if you're planning on going with a belt drive, you're going to have to remove that tab anyway. Just sayin'...

I bought my Night Train this month. It had also been lowered and while riding with my wife we scraped so bad I thought I was going to lose the bike. Did not break anything off, but the ride ended right after that. It goes in on Monday to have it brought back up to stock height.

I put a side stand on mine and it is even worse. It scrapes constantly and a couple of times I planted it around a corner riding 2up and it almost threw us over.

I got a 1" shorter stand from outlaw. Doesn't bolt right up though, you gotta grind a bit off the bottom lip of the control bracket. Haven't scraped it yet, but it has no tabs so ya gotta reach down and operate it by hand. Maybe just leave your stocker on and drop it by hand?

Thanks for the replies, i ordered a new OEM jiffy stand off ebay for $56. Going to replace the one with the broken tab, I feel it is a P.I.A. to reach down and lower it by hand. just going to have to learn that when 2 up take corners like a rookie (dont lean over too much) : )

My fatboy is lowered a little bit more than an inch. I have 1" under dennis kirk jiffy stand. I did not replace it because of scraping. I did not like the bike sitting straight up when I parked it.
Anyway, when you replace the stand take off the old one, put the new one on, fold it forward and install the spring before you put on the bolt and tab. It is the easiest way to install the spring.
I would of replaced the spring at the same time.
