Default Wire Extension Kit Size

I'm replacing my drag bars with some 14" apes. Can someone that has used Namz Extension Kit tell me what size I need to order to complete the swap? (4", 8", 12" 15")

Thanks!

I ordered the 15" kit just to be safe when I changed to the 14's apes on my Lo and I have way too much additional wire. I could have easily used the 8" extension. That being said, my stock wires were long enough to run the whole length of the new bars and I was able to plug the extension in at the bottom of the bars. I may push the extra wire into the bars instead of leaving it under the tank. I don't know what would be best or if it matters.

Personally, i cut mine in a staggered pattern, got extra wire the same color and soldered them together closing the wound up with some heat shrink tube. Came out perfect.

I put the 15" kit on my bike with 16" Gangster apes. The stock wires were long enough to run through the bar. I could have went with the 8" and would have been fine, but i did not realize the stock wires had so much extra tied up under the tank. On my Fatboy lo it is easy to hid the wires behind the nacelle.

I would say the check to see how much extra is tied up under your tank or be safe and go long.

So 8" would be the way to go?

Is it better to just buy a spool of wire & cut & solder rather than getting a extension kit?

the NAMZ kit is to easy to justify not using it. you probably could get away with using the 8" but again I would check first to see how much extra you have or just get the 12".

I read that soldering the wires on a motorcycle is not good due to the vibration. Can anyone tell me if this is true???
