had mine for years now looks great... but please, pull the inner and do the inner as well... we coat a few a week

No problem man, that what this site is for IMO. I do think the gloss will look slick as hell against your Sedonia Orange paint. On the new Road Glide, I plan to doo the engine covers in as close as possible to black denim to match the paint. On my Crossbones, they are all texture black excpet the Rocker box covers which are still stock. I have a set of upper covers I plan to do, just haven't gotten around to it. Like I said, on your ride, my vote is gloss black.....

Yep! It was unanimous......

I ordered the gloss black primary cover yesterday and I'll get a call as soon as it's in. I've never changed one out before, so am looking into what it involves. Work is getting back logged at the HD shop with all the warm weather, so I'll do this swap myself. Heck, I did the pipes and all the other covers, so why not.

How long til you get it? I saw it has been backordered on a previous post.
Post up pics of the install and what it takes. I'm lookin to put a black one on mine as well.
Your bike is gonna look sweet with it, for sure!!!!

I'm sorry to bring up an older thread, but are you guys removing the primary cover and spraying them with the $20 HD Wrinkle Black that you buy from the dealer? I didn't think they had wrinkle black powder coated .

black yes, but personally I like wrinkle black over gloss.
