Default Softbrake relocation question

Does anyone know if i can use my Kuryakyn curved layback licence plate holder with a Softbrake relocation kit?
Can it be used inverted with the Softbrake tombstone fitting?
I like the idea of my licence plate being below the brake light, but also like the way it looks curved.
Any help / advice appreciated.
Thanks.

You'll have to come up with a way to roll the flat piece that the plate mounts to the same shape, without bending the flat section that mounts to the light, I would guess. I'd have to say anything can be done.

X2. Hell I made the plate bracket similar to softbrakes setup. I used 18ga stainless steel. Saved me $50.

It wont be fun. The sb brkt is made to hold the plate. The kury holder is made to bolt to the kury brkt. Sell the kury and buy a nice plate frame, I dont think the fender is curved that much at the bottom any way. Interesting idea though.

I've been thinking I'd like to do the same for my Deluxe. Did you ever find a solution?

I am looking at the Kury part right in front of me here... You could use the outer curved bezel if you could bend the stainless softbrake plate holder to fit it. I dont have my bike here at the house right now so Im not sure what clearance you would have to the paint because the softbrake plate holder is tight to the fender as it goes under the tombstone cover and it has a rubber stand off bumper towards the bottom so its only off the paint about 3/8 along the bottom edge.

I just dont think there is enough clearance.

Thanks for that!

Maybe the only way to do it would be a custom frame with just the outside edges rolled a bit, but that's have to be done pre-chrome. I think I'll stick with the flat plate.
