That thing really works?
Lots of questions for you:
1. Is it easy to engage and disengage?
2. How hard is it, when engaged, to override with a throttle twist?
3. Does it cause any damage/unnatural wear on the internals of the throttle grip?
I really value your experiences with this. If you have any tips to share, that would be appreciated too.
Thanks!!

1. Simple, don't even think about it now.
2. All it does is add friction to the throttle, so you just set it tight enough to hold it from springing back. You can easily adjust the throttle up/down as needed while 'locked'. I do it all the time, adding gas up hill or backing off a little.
3. All it does is let you turn the existing friction screw in and out. I don't think it could hurt anything. On my bike there is just enough room so that when the lever is toward the seat the grip spins freely, and I can push it a little to take some of the pressure off so I don't have to hold the throttle so hard. A little farther and it will stay where you put it with no grip at all. And as I said even when it is locked you can still change the throttle easily.
I think the key is getting the lever put on when the screw is in just the right position. They have a vid that shows how to do it.

I am not sure what brand I have on my bike, it came with it on there but I don't like it. You have to reach to much to get to it and its under the throttle rather then on top of it. If anyone has some clear pic of theirs I would love to see them. I consider mine dangerous in fact. I have opened it wider when reaching for it to shut it down jerking the bike. I want something else!!

Works great!
I have one on my '02 Sporty and it works great. Easy to adjust and when you have your gloves on you don't spend time fumbling around trying to adjust/release the throttle lock.
I will be installing one on my '12 Heritage softail classic in the near future. Installation is really not that involved if your are slightly mechanically inclined. Just check out the installation vid on their web site.
