Default Harley Rocker Seat Selection ?

Hey Folks, fairly new here and looks for some words from a few with some @ss time.

I have an 08 Rocker thats bone stock, many mods are coming including a new seat. Im curious as to who has put on a heartland or other kit for pillion pad, and who has replaced their solo seat, what brand and how you like it.

Im leaning towards keeping the solo seat, but Id like it to hug the fender a little more, as well as sit lower.

Thanks for your input.

Cheers

I would check them out, they take your stock seat and modify it, and it's a lot cheaper than replacing a seat. I plan on getting my done and using my stock seat with the modification for touring.

I don't think Mean City can help him. I don't think he needs his seat re cut. I think he is talking about sitting the seat down on the fender and into the pocket more. Am I correct on this HWnorth?

JB.. exactly. Ive seen the Corbin on a rocker and it looks like it sits lower and sits you back a little further.

I have an 08 Rocker c also. I am running the regular rocker seat but switching to the danny grey seat before spring/on order off ebay. Bitchin seats makes one also but costs much more/rides more like a hard tail but looks cool. I go for comfort first/looks second! LOL Grew up in Moncton , NB. My brother and I are going to Atlanticade the end of June over in PEI and then sit on the beach in Shediac/RIDE the area for a week. Great riding on PEI. Hey, check your wheel bearings carefully. Lots of rockers have had issues after bearing change in 08. I had 2 failures...1 at 65 mph...check them. Do a search on here/lots of info. Replace with Timken or All *****. Ride safe.

There are a lot of threads on this already. You can search for the Heartland kit many have that. I have the DG and love it.

Before I converted to heartland I mad my own seat pan, using the back plate of the fcwc standard seat for alignment and support. if there isnt any seat companies that make what your looking for try locally you be amazed how many custom shops can do one offs.

I agree, if you're trying to reduce the seat fender gap you're choices are pretty much go with the Heartland kit, customize something yourself for have someone customize something for you.
