Not to Highjack.

Pierucki, check out Pudges pic, he also uses saddle bags with easy brackets. So he has the extra storage when he needs it. Same set-up as mine.

I like the look of that for sure. Are they difficult to install, or did you have the dealer do it?

Standard install is use the bag straps around the swing arm. But I've heard they rub the paint off (unless you wrap the swing arm with tape), that's why you see guys mounting them to the belt/chain guard bolts with threaded rod couplings and a backer plate. I can't do this because it'll sit to high and I wouldn't be able to use my quick release bags.

I've got the Leatherworks 312XL (5") bag and really like it.. Has held up well.. Girlie has no problems with it being in the way when she has her feet on the pegs either..

After much deliberation, I opted for:

http://www.amazon.com/MotoCentric-Mo...1570378&sr=8-1

Gets me to work and back carrying a laptop, portable hard drive, glasses and my lunch. Any more and I'll put the saddle bags on...

I installed it myself at dealership. Sat in their nice furniture & put the protection rub on bag. They come with a clear sticky that protects swing arm from being rubbed down. It attaches with nylon straps and are held in with a folding clip. Easy install, but the backing of bag is something of a composite board instead of all leather. Maybe to keep more rigid.
