Joining the Softail ranks
I've had an 09 Ultra which I've really enjoyed until I broke my ankle last September on a bike camping trip. I just got off crutches last week and should be ready to go by this spring's riding season. That Ultra is pretty heavy so I decided to sell it and get something lighter. That something is an 02 Heritage Softail Classic! I've always liked them and almost bought one back in 05 but went with a Road King instead. Now I'm full circle and getting back on what I've always wanted. The bike I'm picking up in a couple weeks is carburated(which I wanted), fully chromed front end and switch housings, braided cables, has an SE203 cam with a dynojet kit and V&H Bigshot Longs. It's in great shape and looks and sounds great. Really looking forward to riding again, and enjoying lots of miles on my new Softail. I'm sure I'll have lot's of questions when I pick it up, so stay tuned! Pics are in the link below.

Thanks for the welcome to the softail side. I'm most of all, looking forward to riding again. I haven't taken delivery of the bike yet as I'm still waiting for HD to send me the title on my Ultra so I can complete that sale. So I don't know all the details of this Heritage yet, but it is the HD tach/speedo combo. Next to just getting back in the saddle, I'm looking forward to getting to know this bike. I really an psyched!

Congrats on the new bike.
Personally I wouldn't own anything but a soft tail.
Just always loved the look.
I am thinking of getting those same V/H Big Shot Longs.
Curious of how they sound & how they look on the bike.
Can kinda see them in your first pic
Any chance of another pic with a side shot of the pipes?
