Gangsters on my bike love them they are flawless. With that much bar showing i had to get the ones that look like a show piece.

I went with chubbys 14's. But i am 5'9, so the 16's would fit you like a glove. I couldnt be happier, the comfort difference is amazing for a guy with a little lower back pain.......it is gone all together!! Both bars are top quality, but you get a little more flare with the sweeping Carlinis...........but i prefer the old school look of the chubbys. Cant go wrong with either choice. Good luck.......once you ape.....you will never go back!!

i had 16" chubbys forever on my roadking loved them wanted them a little bit tallerbut worked for 3 years now i got the carlini 18" gangster apes! And let me tell ya almost everyone has apes these days.... But not everyone has carlini apes 1.5" thick and they just set a whole new attitude for the bike... I love mine can not imagine having any other! Good luck on your choice...

I have the Wild Ones Chubby 16" on my Fatboy. I'm 5'10' and the bars are just about shoulder height.

whatever you buy make sure the riser/clamps have set screws, that's the best advise I can offer and I have had both. right now I have 14" gangster with carlini risers and I wouldn't trade for them.

I just can't get over the cost of doin it yourself. Apes and cables plus you gotta get new grips and you're over $700 doing it yourself. I have tools already like soldering gun, loads of wires and fish tape and it was fun as well as great experience. I can't imagine the cost for a Night Train as the stock risers would be swapped out for some shorties adding another cost....

It was worth it!

Both bars are very nice and top quality, but the 14"/1.5" Carlini apes are the route to go if you can afford the extra $. SJ Ron

I can get the wild ones with wires for around $360, and can add $75 for Magnum Chomelite Wires. As far as the grips I found some inexpensive ones I really really like for cheap.
