Default Heritage Classic vs fatboy

So I was at the dealership looking at bikes while waiting for my own. You know dreaming of one for the future.

Just curious with what you guys went with and why. I like the looks of the Fatboy more. Not to say the heritage looks bad by any means. But the woman told me it's an old man's bike. However the better deal seems to be on the Heritage Classic. You get windshield, sissy bar and pad and saddle bags, pretty nice looking ones for like 1000 more.

The fatboy seat seemed more comfy, but maybe after riding awhile it wouldn't be. I like the fatboy more but the heritage is growing on me, so what do you guys like more and why?

Partial to the Fatboy lo liked the black denim paint that was only offered in the lo. Heritage is nice reminded me of my uncle but not enough to buy it lol.

I really like both. For me, the Heritage epitomizes the H-D image: classic styling with those studded leather saddlebags. There's just no mistaking that it's a Harley. I wanted a cleaner look w/o the windshield and studs, however, so I went with the FB.

Same family but they are really two very different bikes. You need to sit on both and hopefully test ride each. I thought the FB looked great but I really didn't like the way it "fit" me. I have short legs and short arms so I am sure that was an issue there.

The Heritage was a perfect fit for me.

I can only tell you this...Buy which ever you like, take a lot of pic's so you have something to remember what it looked like next year.

My FB went from looking like this when I bought it.

As soon as I got it home the deconstruction started and off to the shop it went only to come looking way different.

Now it is in the shop getting Shotguns, chrome lowers, Fishtail Mufflers and 2 over cowbells.

Get a Deluxe and start from there.

Just my 2 cents worth.

I was all set on a Fatboy, but on the resale market they run too high IN MY OPINION. For much less money I got the versatility of the heritage and I am super happy with my choice.

I run with the bike stripped down 90% of the time, I can put on bags(now studless) and windshield in less than five minutes.

For my I liked the Fatboy Lo in Denim Black. Looked at a Heritage and a Deluxe and decided that I wanted the no chrome look. I also don't like cleaning spoke wheels.

I purchased a 03 heritage softail 100th ann. I love the heritage, it looks great, rides great, makes a great touring bike or even nicer stripped down! If I was to buy a new bike today it would be another heritage! Here is a snap of mine with the bags and sissy bar. Also its not an olds man bike, seeing how im 19!
