Just thought I'd drop in and say hi. I bought my first Harley today. Bought a 2005 Deuce with about 6700 mi. My first ride was taking it home.

Congrats... though, "first ride".. ever? or on a Harley? If ever, I, amongst others here, would recommend you take a Motorcycle Safety Course, it's definitely worth it.. and if not ever, then good luck with your ride

Thanks for the welcome everyone. I've actually been riding motorcycles for about 40 years, but this is my first Harley. I started out racing motocross, moved on to dual sports, and then I had a series of import streetbikes, include a water buffalo (Suzuki 750, 3 cyl, water cooled). The bike I just gave to my oldest son was my Yamaha 600 sportsbike.

I finally decided to quit looking at all my Harley shirts, clocks and toys and decided to go out and get one and enjoy it in my golden years...lol!

I've been out riding it today, but hope to put up some pics soon.

Thx again.

Congratulations! Nice choice of models, too! I really like the Deuce! In 2002, I was deciding between the FatBoy and the Deuce, and decided to get the Deuce. I went back in and it was sold!!!!!! So, I got the Fatboy and still was a very happy Harley owner!
