biggest issue with the 200 tire that I kept reading about in here is the 200 is only good for about 5k miles while the 150's last 10-11k miles. So U'll be changing out the rear a lot more often.
I'm curious where you read that. There are various factors that will determine how many miles you get to the tire, (road type, riding style, etc...) but I always get a minimum of 10K per tire.

About 6-6.5K out of my 200. I'll be on my 3rd soon. Softer compound, wears easily.

I'm lucky to get 6k out of my 200mm ('07 Fat Boy). I would agree that many with the 200mm tire (I use the Dunlop D407) don't seem to get a ton of miles out of them. It always depends upon the riding style, but all things considered equal, I think you may get fewer miles out of it.
I ride on hilly, twisty roads all the time, and like to be fairly aggressive in the turns. I have no problems at all with the performance of the 200mm. I can't see that a 200mm tire, performance wise, would be a deal-breaker or deal-maker. Looks wise, I dig it.
I'm on my 3rd rear tire on my Cross Bones and they are only getting between 5k-6k every time...that being said, I always make sure the tire pressure is correct and i don't consider my riding style aggressive. It's simply a tire that has a short life span of 5k-6k
