I find the handling worse on every 200 i have rode, but i ride a 150. What i really dont like about the 200 is the wide rear fender, seems like it just doesnt flow as well with the bike. But thats just my opinion.

I have ridden alot of different size rear tires and when I got my train with 200 I had no problems wit any handling but I do feel more comfortable with a bigger tire. Feels like there is more supporting me than a thin bicycle tire. Plus there is a bigger contact patch for road surface. IMO go with the 200.

I've driven both, and couldn't detect any difference in handling or stability.
Guess it's just a mather of taste.
I went for the Fatboy with 200mm reartire because I like the look.

I have both and the Heritage 150/16 with the 16 front is better for 2 up riding. For solo and riding with attitude, 200 rear with a 21" up front. Just gets me in the zone. They both handle fine.

The reality is the bikes physical size and geometry will contribute way more than the rear tire

As a few have said, it's a Harley not a Ducati

I can punt my train around twisties as quick as any other softail and really the rocker is only marginally slower, the primary primary or the pipes will hit way before the cornering limits of the tire come into play..

Well said. I will scrape my floor boards or primary well before the bike is going to skid because of lack of traction. I just think it is a silly question to even consider for these bikes... If anything you are losing handling in terms of its nimble-ness with wider rear tires on these things.

I have heard people mention the samse about the primary scrapping, however if the primary scrapes would it cause a lot damage?

One of the future mods on my list is the 422's lowering kit, so I was wondering if that could be a cause of the primary scrapping?

I myself, love the fat *** ends and (money being no object) plan to put a 200 on the back of my heritage with a custom round fender (not the squarish fatboy ones).
