ABS is not an option in the auto industry. No choice there.

From 2014 in Europe, there looking to make it standard , there also looking at anti tampering laws banning any aftermarket performance add one like exhausts, ar filters or ecus so stage 1, 2 etc would be banned,

My question is why? When adding accessories to my bike, the first thing I did was add items that will help keep me safe and on the road longer.

If you think ABS are worthless, take a look at this.

I love my ABS, saved me once from a wet slick patch on the road. Wouldn't ride without it.

Pretty sure all the 2011 HDs & on in Australia have ABS , maybe here its a compliance thing.
I wasn't impressed when I had to ride the Lo 400kms to have the ABS reset after changing the risers to 6" pullbacks, but it only cost $65 to do it & anyhow I like it now after hitting the brakes fairly hard on a dirt road without it Im sure I would have lost it.

Do you want to ride the bike or for the bike to ride you? Airbags will be eventually tied into that package. I hate the abs on my truck, no stopping on slippery roads with it, sliding through intersections 1 at a time, and so far been lucky. Never had that problem before in my life. Maybe bikes are different with it, but that's another electronic part to fail.
