I still use the seat that originally came with the bike. Quite a few SE Fat Boy owners consider the seat to be uncomfortable. I have a Sundowner seat that I switch to when my wife rides with me, but I still prefer the original seat when I ride solo, which is most of the time.
The stock SE Fat Boy seat requires either the useless hard as a 2x4 pillion pad or the chrome piece that goes in its place, in order to mount it.

Pull the buddy seat-pad and take some pics. Might fit the bill.

On the SE Fat Boy, the only thing holding the seat on is the tongue in the front and the bolt at the aft end of the pillion pad.

I wish I could do that I have a solo seat that fits a heritage I would put on it.
