I take it there isnt much to this. No extra parts needed or anything?

Hehheeh! yeah, I've got more like 1,000.

Just got my tractor seat and windsield on, guess I ought
to upload some recent pictures. I still need to figure
out the frame cover too since the tractor seat is a pogo-style
instead of coil or hairpin type springs...

What I bought is not a fairing - just a HD 18" smoked windshield. For me, it took a
max of like 10-15 minutes to install. It's only four bolts w/grommets that replace
the four bolts that attach the aux-light brackets to the tripple tree(?).

With the pogo-style tractor seat height, the 18" windshield is perfect for me.
I can see right over the top with no problem. I love it so far in this cold
weather. Probably wont use the windshield in warmer spring/summer....

Here's a few pics.

A shot of one side with two bolts that are replaced:

A pic of the top clip;

Different angle pic of the windshield

Hope this helps,

Terry

These bikes are looking great. So many ideas.......this is endless....lol. Have to share my good news that I have today. Got my new paint set on order for my slim. Hopefully it will turn out killer. Went with the harley davidson hells release paint scheme. Hopefully with the black roland sands apes and vance and hines black pipes it will turn out like i am hoping for. I also love the brown seat and bag that i just saw. That was a sweet look.

THANK YOU for the EXCELLENT pictures. That helps a LOT.
I've been wondering about this for a while.
I already have the aux. lights and when I asked the dealer, they told me the quick release windshields mounted INSIDE the brackets, putting the grommets where the spacers are.
I can see now they were full of sheeit. (shocker)
That setup you showed looks better (and easier) anyway...

Just one more thing to scratch off my "on hold" list...

Nope, no extra parts needed, although I bought some chrome acorn nuts for the plate side. Save and use the stock nuts to form a spacer between the two plastic
Backer plates as they don't mate flush when turned vertical.
