Jcslim,

bike looks great. Where did you relocate your ecm too? I have the solo spring seat and hate that cheap pan they sell you! Thanks

I got my Slim last Wednesday and I love it. I put over 600 on it over the long weekend. One change I'm considering is a riser. There is just a bit of a reach for me. Otherwise it's great.

For some reason I missed this thread until now. I have to say that I am blown away by some of the modifications I have seen here in this thread.

Even though I'm not a fan of those spring seats, I love what Wally has done with his ride. Good to see that I'm not the only one who is putting a 200 tire on his Slim.

I love Mario's ride, too. I already admired his work over at the German Milwaukee V-Twin forum.

Ok, time to throw in some pics of my Slim. She is in the shop right now, where she gets the 17" Cross Bones rear wheel with the 200 tire and a chopped Fatboy fender. The tail will also be lowered by an inch or so. Here you can see her with the Fatboy fender installed for test fitting. I used some masking tape to mark the contours for the final cut. As for the shape of the new fender, I used the stock Slim fender as a role model. Fender supports are from a Fatboy, too, but I left the strut covers away in order to give the struts a short and clean look. The supports will be sanded and repainted in order to get rid of that coarse cast iron look.

For now, I decided to stick with the stock tail lights. But I decided to move them right behind the fender supports instead of installing them where the Fatboy has them (the two holes at the very end of the fender).

The seat is the Brawler vinyl seat from H-D, P/N 52269-08.

Once my bank account has recovered from the modifications that are underway right now, I will black out the engine with wrinkle black primary, timer and trans covers. I love the RSD Black Ops Clarity derby and timer covers that Wally and jcslim installed on their bikes.

Exhaust will be a combination of V-Team headers and adjustable Classic Line mufflers from Penzl Bikes Germany in flat black.

I'll post some more pics as soon as I get the bike back from the shop.

Lutz

Here's another photo that was taken when I dropped the bike off at the shop. It impressively shows the huge difference between the stock MU85B16 and the 200/55R17 tires.
