I would bet dollars to donuts properly maintained engines of similiar builds using any of the popular syn motor oils have lifespans within a std deviation. As someone else said here, reading an oil thread is like a being a moth drawn to a flame. You just can't help it. That said, I don't know which oil is quieter. I stopped listening to it years ago, it used to drive me nuts.

Some would say Ur pipes are toooo Quiet.

Any Syn oil will be a little thinner than most Conventional oils. thus U can prob hear the a little more engine noise.

Oh Wow! an Oil Thread . . . I thought no one would ever post another!

I'll bet the questions and answers will be completely different than the other 1,358 Oil Threads.

Personally, I want to see something new and unique. Like: Has anyone tried using Fork Oil to keep the shock loads in the Engine down? How about Vaseline in the Transmission so that it would help it slide in and out of gear better, and did it smoke when you were done? If you put Bearing Grease in the Primary does it growl? I believe that these and other questions deserve a long, painful and thorough discussion in this thread!

Oh, and where do you put the dip stick when checking your oil level?
