I used the novello kit on mine. I also did the extension after the wires were ran through the new bars. since the connector for the harness in under the fuel tank about mid way back, at least on the fatty, there should be enough sticking out of the bars to add the extension afterwards.

Why is the Namz kit cheaper than Novello? They use the same wire gauge? I always believe in you pay for what you get but in this instance I just see why the price difference.

I used Novello, the wires are exact colour as OEM. I think either kit would be fine.

PearlWhite,

I'm getting ready to order some 14" Wild1's and have been researching which wire kit to go with as well. From all the reviews I've read, I really can't find a difference between the two either. Both come with wires to match up to the OEM colors.

Also, if you check out Wild 1's website, they have a "Wiring Tech" page that shows you where the connectors are, under the gas tank, and how to take the wires out of them. After this step, they recommend running the stock wires through the bars first, THEN hooking up the extensions. I have also read its really good to solder the connectors together so the little clips can not pull apart, then use the shrink wrap. Should make for an easy job since there's no splicing involved.

With stock wires leading all the way under the tank, we should have plenty to run through the bars first.

I have been seeing new chrome switch sets with 8" longer than stock wires on eBay for less than $50. If you are going to pay $30-40 for wire extensions and if you need wires that are less than 8" longer than stock (stock is 40"), why not go with that option? You get longer wires and the chrome switches too.

Of course, if you need more than 8" longer wires (48"), then, they make longer sets (70" or 106") for a bit more. I would go that way before splicing in wires. Especially since the pricing is so close and the chrome switches are nice. Oh, and I saw they have the same switch sets in black too, for a little less.

For the record, I don't sell motorcycle parts or the like. Just passing on what I saw. I can not vouch for quality or character of the sellers.
