Stock FB solo about 3hrs.
OEM Badlander about 2 hrs.
Mustang vintage solo about 4 hrs.
The best lookin seat I have Lepera Barebones, I may as well be straddling the frame rails and sitting on the battery about 1 hr.
Cheers!
my stock road king was good for several hundred miles a day...as is my e.g. classic stock seat. nibloc, i will ride any where and any time you want for as many miles as you want. let's leave at day lite as i don't like riding at nite.
LePera Bare Bones on my Deluxe. I never have to stop because of the seat - it's always to take a leak or to give my hands a break. I always find I'm cramping up in my hands way before my *** starts to hurt.
I actually find the bare bones to be as comfortable as the stock seat, maybe even more so.
I can't believe I would ever say this, but the stock seat on my Heritage Springer is really comfortable! I can ride all day. No "hot spots" or pains at all. It is the most comfortable seat I have ridden on. My friend, who has an '03 Fatboy, sat on it for a minute and immediately vowed to buy one to put on his bike. It really is a great choice. I do not know what H-D special to the HS seat, but it really is awesome.
I agree 100%! I am amazed at how comfortable this seat is. I have rode all day long and my *** hurting has never been the issue. I guess I am going to have put highway pegs on the bike though (although I don't really want the look of them for this bike). My knees starting hurting after a couple of hours without a break without being able to stretch out.
On my '02 RK I tried a Mustang, and a Corbin, and always went back to the stock seat. I'm weird, eh? Have done 1,100+ mile rides nonstop other than gas stops on that stock seat.
Of all the bikes Ive owned, 11 of them and a few custom seats,
IMO, the Stock seat on our 07 Heritage is by far the most comfortable seat of all of them. When or if it goes south, I'll find another 07 stock seat to replace it with.
I've had Mustangs with rider backrest on my last two bikes. I tried nearly every seat out there from C&C to Corbin to Harley. The Mustang is the best fit for me personally. I haven't had a long road (over 400 miles one way) trip on my current bike, but did ride over 900 miles in 2 days on my last one. I had no issues at all. The backrest made all the difference in the world IMHO.
My Lapera Bare Bones only works for me like an hour. No gel in it -- I've always wondered how much of a difference the gel would make. Still considering having it re-done.
My stocker was re-worked -- had Mean City add the memory foam. Good for maybe 2 hours.
Any more than that and I put on the Ultimate Seat with the backrest. I think the backrest is a huge part of the comfort equation. Also, the highway pegs allow you to change positions and that helps too.
