For some reason..........I feel the need to be a copy cat. I too will be purchasing one of dem round covers. I like the exposed filter thing that everyone has been showing but I just can't find a plate that I really like.[sm=goodidea.gif] And don't be shamed. It looks good.

Which air filter is under this cover, H-D or K&N?
It's the HD #29442-99D filter (3-bolt backing plate pattern, and single center hole for mounting air cleaner).

Looks great. I really like the old school look. Can you get a chrome screw or allen bolt to replace that stock one?

Sure.... In fact, I might go ahead and use the 'stock' allen head center bolt from the OEM cover.

I just think the new cover looks so much better than the stock 'football cover'.

That looks great. I bought one and even with the thick gasket, with the K&N filter, it isn't spaced out far enough. I've been thinking about puting a spacer under the center of the cover.

They now make a plain round chrome one without the logo. It fits fine, but doesn't look near as good as yours.
