I'm a big fan of the 150 to 180 rear set-ups and can see alot of potential in this bike! But thats why they make so many bikes. Different strokes for different folks!!!
Well put. Everyone had to accept the wide tire look when it came on scene, even though it doesn't handle as well. The stock 180 on my SG is more than wide enough. Everyone has been trending on fat rear meat so long they seem not to realize the blackline or slimline rear is an appropriate width rear tire for best handling. It's not even narrow, its normal. In the 70's & 80's we were building rigids with 16's, but usually ran a flat fender supported by a sissy bar. Occasionally a fatbob fender. Harley is trying to retro the rear with a 16, but using a big factory fender which makes the tire appear even narrower. Choppers, bobbers were built by discarding everything unecessary, and keepin it simple. Thats the look they did with the Blackline. Somewhat retro and simple. Its stripped down with no show. .

I went in the dealership yesterday to possibly ogle the Switchback again (gone) and saw the Slim instead. Never been a big fan of Fatboys but the bike really surprised me. I like it! Really like the handlebars.

Probably have hard time making it a 2 person bike so the ole lady could ride also though.

It wouldn't be difficult to set it up for two-up.
Passenger pegs and mounts and a re-moveable passenger pad.
Comfort wise for her though, a two-up seat or thicker padded pad would be needed.

Everyone has different tastes, and if the moco tried to make a bike for everyone, there would 500+ models out there. I don't like either of these new bikes off the line, but i'm sure someone out there will make them look great!
......well said..i feel the same, but we are train owners lol
